  • *** Neighbourhood Plan Consultation ***

    Dear Resident

Rollesby Neighbourhood Plan = Resident Consultation Survey

As you maybe aware Rollesby Parish Council is in the process of developing a Neighbourhood Plan for Rollesby so that residents can have more effective influence in how the village grows and changes in the future.

This Neighbourhood Plan is fully funded from a grant awarded by “My Community” at NO cost to the residents. With this grant the Parish Council have been able to employ a Planning Consultancy to progress and develop his Neighbourhood Plan on our behalf.

Once endorsed by the residents and Great Yarmouth Borough Council the Rollesby Neighbourhood Plan becomes a legally binding document that has guidance policies for future growth and prosperity of the village for the next 15 years.

Your Neighbourhood Plan with its guidance policies puts you the residents of the village first when decisions including development planning are being made by Great Yarmouth Borough Council to align with Government Policies.

As with ALL Neighbourhood Plans guidance policies are key to this document. Therefore the Parish Council would welcome your thoughts, opinions and ideas to shape this valuable heritage document and will be holding consulting meetings for your participation.

The type of Guidance Policies for inclusion:

    • How much new housing is built, what type and style
    • Economic zones for shops, offices to enhance rural life.
    • Supporting education.
    • Protection of important local green and wildlife spaces.
    • Environmental and Dark Sky Policy

You can influence the Neighbourhood Plan by completing the consultation survey  Online OR by attending one of our consultation events where there will be an interactive opportunity to develop our village and question our Planning Consultants.

Please return a hard copy of the survey by 23 March 2019 to the Parish Clerk or complete it online here: http://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/RollesbyNP/

Drop in to the consultation events at the Village Hall:
