  • Forthcoming Events in Great Yarmouth:

The following has been received by the Parish Council:

The Civic Society of Great Yarmouth in association with Great Yarmouth Borough Council is organising “Paint the Town” event from Wednesday 23rd to Sunday 27th March. This event focuses on celebrating different arts in our Borough e.g., painting, photography, film and dance.

The aim is to increase footfall in the town by providing exhibitions in the Minster, the Yare Gallery, Skippings Gallery, The Town Hall, St. George’s Theatre, Gorleston Library, as well as in shop windows. There will be entertainment provided in the streets as well as some workshops throughout the Borough. There will also be a food festival in King Street called Flavours at the weekend.

Although time is short, we wondered whether any groups in your community would like to participate either in your village or in Great Yarmouth and Gorleston. Alternatively, the Great Yarmouth Arts Festival will be happening between Friday 8 and Sunday 17 July and your community might wish to participate during that time.

It would be wonderful if local communities in your area would like to participate and I would be grateful if you would publicise this forthcoming attraction. Interested parties should contact Billie Todd at [email protected] or via 01493846515.

  • Paper Banks:

Council has been asked to remind residents that there are two paper banks situated at the Church which provide around £500 a year in revenue whilst also saving paper going to the landfill.  The payment is made on the weight collected, so please could residents use them for their waste paper.
